Cathedral Mountain Lodge is located in Yoho National Park, the #2 best rated place in the world by National Geographic Traveler in 2009! The Lodge and cabins sit on the bank of the Kicking Horse River, 15 minutes from the town of Lake Louise. The River and Kicking Horse Pass were named by James Hector, a member of the Palliser Expedition in 1858, when he was wickedly kicked (he survived) by his packhorse while exploring the river!
