Duties/Responsibilities

Share your infectious love of nature and passion for the outdoors! Our Nature Guides can be found monitoring guest safety and providing excellent guest service throughout the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. They spend their days engaging guests with fun interpretive nature tours and helping children of all ages explore the rainforest. If you’re outgoing, comfortable talking to large groups and work well with a team, then join our savvy group of nature specialists! It’s a great way to gain valuable guest service experience while working in the beautiful pacific temperate rainforest.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in a Guest Service role,
• Must be comfortable speaking engagingly, clearly and audibly to large groups of people,
• Demonstrated interest in ecology or environmental studies,
• Enrollment in an environmental program, an asset
• Positive can-do attitude, ready to assist both co-workers and guests,
• Multilingual, an asset
• Valid First Aid Level 1 or 2, a strong asset

Considerations:

• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
• While performing the duties of this position, Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
• Working outdoors in all types of weather
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs
• Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool
