 Details:

  • Fulltime, working up to 40 hrs. a week,
  • Hourly wage with an end of contract bonus,
  • Staff accommodation onsite, $18.00/day, includes all meals and laundry.
  • Seasonal commitment required from May 15, 2019 – October 9, 2019 (TBC),
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada prior to offer of employment.

Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Our Maintenance Lead Hand is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the Cabins, Lodge and Grounds of Cathedral Mountain Lodge.  Main duties include general repairs of Cabins and public areas, cutting firewood, basic maintenance & service of generators and company vehicles, maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring a leadership role in Health & Safety and on-site fire protection. This position is required to assist the Rooms & Grounds department in completing daily cleaning tasks, as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2 yrs. of maintenance experience (basic plumbing & electrical) with working knowledge of general hand and power tools,
  • Valid driver license, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle,
  • Must be 100% guest service oriented, have excellent people skills with a positive and upbeat personality,
  • Outdoor enthusiast, a passion for hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains,
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate an asset,
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
