Duties/Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the general operation of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s First Aid program and leads the Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) program.
  • Will be responsible for supervising the First Aid team and ensuring a seamless First Aid experience for our Team Members and Guests. This including being an active member of First Aid Team, overseeing scheduling of the first aid team members, ordering supplies and performing general audits and upkeep of first aid areas and supplies.
  • This position also leads the JOHS program at all three Vancouver properties. This includes summarizing inspection reports, following up on overdue items, making and making recommendations for improvements at the JOHS Meetings.
  • This role reports to the Guest Services Manager and works closely with the Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications

Who you are:
• Must be at least Level 2 OFA certified,
• Minimum 2 years of previous first aid experience,
• 1 year of leadership experience, a strong asset
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations,
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment with flexibility to meet constantly changing demands,
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel,
• Exceptional organizational skills with previous experience handling confidential issues,
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and foster cooperation,
• Proven ability to maintain confidential information,
• Proven desire to be involved in maintaining Guest Service Excellence by providing quality service to both our internal and external team/guests.

Considerations:
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
• While performing the duties of this position, Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
• Working outdoors in all types of weather
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs
• Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool
