Cafe Supervisor – Summer 2020 Season

Details:

  • Fulltime, working up to 40 hrs. a week,
  • Salary with an end of contract bonus,
  • Staff accommodation onsite, $13.00/day, includes all meals and laundry.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada prior to offer of employment.

Duties/Responsibilities

The Café Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the Snowshoe Café and adjoining patio. This position requires strong multi-tasking skills and its main responsibilities include but are not limited to; training team on standards (safety and guest services), ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed, maintaining product inventories, scheduling team members, monitoring labor budget and achieving sales targets. This is a hands on position that requires covering shifts and working closely side by side with the team. The Café Supervisor is expected to attend weekly supervisor’s meetings and be committed to promoting a positive team work environment. In addition, they will need to have strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1 yr. in a supervisory role, with experience in food and beverage,
  • Previous barista, café or serving experience,
  • Food Safety Certificate,
  • Second language, an asset,
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.),
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate, an asset,
  • Must be guest service oriented, excellent people skills with a positive & upbeat personality,
  • Outdoor enthusiast, a passion for hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains,
