Duties/Responsibilities

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the general supervision of all Food & Beverage quick service venues including Capilano Coffee Co., Logger’s Grill, Bridge House Café, and the Cabin. They ensure the best possible Food & Beverage experience for both Guests and Team Members at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP).  In addition, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food & Beverage Manager in evaluating the quality and value of the guest’s food & beverage experience. They communicate any new ideas or concerns and assist in the development and implementation of Food & Beverage programs.

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager partners with the Food & Beverage Manager, Operations Leadership team and HR to source, train and develop the Food & Beverage Team Members. Through their leadership and motivation, they promote the principles, values and vision of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP).

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage
  • POS experience, knowledge of RTP system, an asset,
  • “Food Safe” certification Level II,
  • “Serving it Right “certification,
  • Must be of legal drinking age as supervising in licensed areas,
  • Can handle stressful situations and meet fluctuating and demanding needs,
  • First Aid – Level 1, at minimum,
  • Second language is an asset.

Considerations:

  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business,
  • While performing the duties of this position, required to be on your feet for extended periods of time,
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, and
  • Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool,
  • While performing the duties of this position, required to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain and winter conditions.
